FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What comes with Powerblocks?

Powerblocks offer a high-performance, expandable energy solution designed for whole-home backup and off-grid use. Each unit combines a smart hybrid inverter with stackable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries—giving you flexible storage, fast switchover times, and serious power control.

What happens after I place my reservation?

Your reservation locks in the current pricing on the Kora Lithium Battery and Inverter System. We'll stay in touch ahead of our target ship date in 2026. You will receive a final invoice for your system to confirm before we ship.

What storage capacity options are available?

Each battery module provides 4 kWh of usable energy. You can stack up to 7 modules per inverter for up to 28 kWh per unit, and combine up to 4 inverters for a maximum system size of 112kWh.

What power output options are available?

Powerblocks can deliver up to 45.6 kW of continuous power and peak outputs up to 120 kW depending on battery and solar configuration.

Can this system run off-grid?

Yes. With the right configuration, the system can fully power a home without the grid. It automatically switches from grid to battery in under 20 milliseconds, keeping your circuits live during outages.

Does it require active cooling?

No fans, no fuss. The system uses natural convection cooling and includes battery warming, so it operates reliably in extreme temperatures—from -13°F to 131°F.

Does this require other Kora products?

We offer our inverters and modular batteries as a bundle separate from our “Founders Edition” for homes with greater energy needs. These bundles are meant to complement our Kora Smart Panel, which is key to controlling the system. If you haven't reserved a smart panel, inverter and battery combo already, we recommend you reserve those before investing in additional inverters and batteries.
